IKMIA (Indonesian Muslim Community in Atlanta) was founded in 2004 to introduce Indonesian culture through an Islamic perspective by some Indonesian community members who care to unite all Muslim Indonesians who live in Atlanta’s surrounding area. It started with small numbers and kept growing until today, around 100 families are involved with IKMIA.
At IKMIA, we aim to inspire an appreciation of Islamic values by following the teaching of our Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon Him, and the Al Quran, the book of guidance for humanity’s principles and life.
With IKMIA as a Nonprofit organization, we want to help others better understand a better world around us by conveying the message and uniting the Indonesian Muslim community’s culture and heritage in Atlanta surrounding under one umbrella.
The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Nothing is wiser than reflection, nothing is more pious than caution and restraint, and nothing more prestigious than good conduct”.
WE PRAY
Our mission is to give to others in the best way to express our gratitude to the creator.
